My Story

I have always had a passion sports, I consider myself an "All American" youth.

I saw myself in 2003 headed in the wrong direction and decided to make a lifestyle change. Best advice I ever gave myself.
​
As an older father of a 3 year old at the time I was approaching 200 pounds. My daughter is paramount in my life, so without her I may not be where I am today.
Today I have 23+ years of physical fitness activity, eating healthy under my belt. I have completed two marathons, countless half marathons and many 5k’s and 10k’s.

I joined a local gym and got started. It was not easy at first, but I thought to myself if I can only to get to a point that I feel guilty for NOT working out or running it would become easier and I was right.
​
Taking notice with 47 years in the corporate world in the printing and packaging industry it is my desire is to help others to achieve a more active and fit lifestyle, especially those who are struggling to perform easy daily tasks that are not so easy anymore. Society today, along with technology has made most people “professional sitters”, thus creating muscle imbalances that will soon effect their mobility if no corrective action is taken.
After seeing my own Mother struggle since she retired, losing much of her muscle mass, stability and balance, I made a promise to myself to help others even more. At that time she was 91 and had no choice but to move into an assisted living facility using a walker to get around. I hated to see this.
This inspired me to take action to help myself but most importantly helping others with my new awareness. I went back to school to become a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and a Senior Fitness Specialist (SFS) through The National Academy of Sports medicine (NASM).

I have also been studying personal development for the past 15 Years, self taught, learn by doing, reading (lots), seminars, webinars etc. Understanding how our minds work and why we do the things we do is fascinating and has become a hobby for me, not only to learn about myself, but also observe and learn from others. I have much to pass along to my new clients. I have found many great mentors in this area and continue to study and learn from them.
